Barrister Training Course (Bar / BPC / BTC / BVS)

Build the Legal Practical Skills Needed in the UK & Beyond

The UK Barrister Training Course (Bar course) is a professional postgraduate qualification. It forms the vocational component of the barrister training route with the aim to develop the practical skills necessary for practice, including advocacy, drafting, opinion writing, and case preparation. Completion of the Bar course will enable a person to be called to the Bar of England & Wales.

For law graduates, particularly those with a UK LLB or completing one, the Barrister Training Course is an essential stage in progressing towards the Bar qualification.

Whether your goal is to practise in the UK or return to Malaysia via the UK Bar route, this vocational course bridges your academic foundation with the practical training to equip you to become a competent barrister.

Through a strong focus on advocacy, legal reasoning and professional standards, the course prepares you for the next stage of qualification while keeping your long-term career pathways, including those back in Malaysia, open and flexible.
